5TH ANNUAL RDSHP BENEFIT CONCERT
PEACE, LOVE, AND TWANG ! ! !
Thursday, September 29, Great American Music Hall

We are thrilled to say that our 5th annual benefit, featuring Titan of the Telecaster Bill Kirchen and his band, The Hammer of the Honky Tonk Gods, as host and house band, was an amazing night of soulful music, cameraderie, and kindness. The self-proclaimed "King of Dieselbilly" was joined by an awesome array of singer/songwriters from around the country. From Nashville, Grammy winning country/bluegrass crooner Jim Lauderdale and guitar slinger/producer-to-the-stars Buddy Miller. From Austin Texas, Bill Kirchen and the sagebrush soul of Flatlander and Wrongler Jimmie Dale Gilmore. From California, songwriter to the songwriters Kevin Blackie Farrell, and Academy, Grammy and Golden Globe award winner Ryan Bingham. And all the way from New York City, hardcore troubadour Steve Earle. As if that weren't enough, the legendary Preservation Hall Jazz Band of New Orleans jumped on board to lend their funk and spice to the whole evening. This was truly  a ruckus to remember!

Keep your eyes posted as we will soon be adding photos and YouTube videos for your enjoyment. And coming soon, a whole new look to our website.

THE MARIN HUMAN RACE 2011
We had a fabulous time at the Marin Human Race this year, and want to thank all our generous supporters and our fabulous runners, especially our two runners with PWS, Whitman Donaldson and Kelsey Formslag, and all the young go-getters (Will Coomber, Lucas Tan-Alper, Jazzy Gerraty, and Caroline de Lone) who helped us raise over $6,000!

 See you next year!

PWCF CONFERENCE 2010
On Saturday, November 6, 2010 our wonderful colleagues from the Prader-Willi California Foundation hosted their annual conference, this time in San Jose. The program was dubbed The Behavior Toolbox, and was presented by two brilliant Prader-Willi specialists, Dr. Janice Forster and Dr. Linda Gourash. They gave a very practical and informative presentation on the need for a very disciplined, firm, but gentle approach to food security and behavior management that made even more obvious the need for a Prader-Willi specific residential center. They even wrote and sang some catchy songs that reinforced their talks.
